Scum Villain Winter Exchange 2024 is a Secret Santa-style gift exchange. Each person who signs up will secretly create either fanfic or fanart for their recipient, and will receive a piece in return from a different participant.Sign ups are OPEN! Gifts Assigned - Nov 22th
Check In - Dec 10th
Fan works DUE - Dec 18th
Publishing Period - starts Dec 21st (Winter Solstice)

RULES

1. To participate in the Scum Villain Winter Exchange 2024, you MUST be at least age 18 or older.
_{(You are welcome to request or create SFW fan works, but since the source material itself is 18+, we are requiring all participants to be as well.)}2. Please show respect to all participants in the exchange and the mods. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.3. Please do not speak in a derogatory manner about kinks/tropes that others my enjoy.

"Coffeeshop AUs aren't to my taste" = OK
"People who write about a 17-year-old Luo Binghe having sex are evil" = Not OK
"I prefer fic where Luo Binghe is 18 or above" = OK}4. The deadlines for this exchange have been carefully planned and considered. These are hard deadlines, and you will be expected to submit a completed fanwork by the final deadline.
_{The final deadline will not be extended or changed except in extreme circumstances (ie if the mods become seriously ill or something.)}5. That being said, we know that life happens! We understand!If you find you cannot meet the deadline for any reason, all we ask is that you please, PLEASE tell us.I PROMISE if you tell us, we will not yell at you. We will not shame you. We will not judge you. You don't need to give a reason or make any excuse, just say, "I won't be able to make the deadline."There are many ways to contact us. So if you won't be able to finish your fic by the deadline, it's okay! We've all been there. We will understand.Please, we're begging, just let us know so we can get a pinch-hitter and make sure that your recipient isn't disappointed. Q. What type of fanworks are acceptable for the exchange?A. Only fanfic and static fanart that is NEW and created specifically for this exchange, as long as it relates to Scum Villain and doesn't contain anything that your recipient has asked not to receive.Q. What is the minimum for the exchange?A. The minimum is 1,000 words of fiction or one inked sketch. If you're uncertain whether your work qualifies, please contact the mods.Q. Is this open to types of fanworks other than fic?A. This year, yes. But it is only being opened up to fanart specifically.Q. Where can I sign up?A. Sign ups are open now. You will need to join the Discord in order to sign up.Q. What if I don't have a Discord?A. We apologize, but due to how our organizational structure is, what kind of contact and the short turn-around of the exchange, we require you to be a part of our Discord server while the exchange is ongoing. If you are signed up for the exchange but not a part of the server, you will not be included in the assignments (alternate communication, such as Twitter DMs or email can requested for better communication as long as they are regularly checked and responded to).Q. What are Treats?A. Treats are available for anyone to create an additional gift for the exchange, no strings attached, no minimums! Anyone can create a treat, you do not have to be participating in the exchange (but only people who have created entries for the exchange and have Opted INTO having their entry posted publicly with their AO3 handle, may possibly receive a treat).
